Fathi obtained his Bachelor of Fiqh and Fatwa (Hons.) in 2021 and subsequently earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Syariah Judicial and Legal Practice in 2022 from the Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia.
He completed his chambering at Amli & Associates in 2023 before being admitted as a Syarie Lawyer for the States of Selangor and Negeri Sembilan in 2024. In 2026, he was also admitted as a Syarie Lawyer for the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan. In addition, he has been a certified mediator since 2022.
Fathi has extensive experience handling a wide range of Syariah civil matters, including claims for matrimonial property (harta sepencarian), child custody, mut’ah (consolatory maintenance), arrears of maintenance, child maintenance, injunctions, and other related matters. He has also handled and been directly involved in Syariah criminal cases, including khalwat (close proximity) and false declaration offences.
He is currently practising with Abdul, Low & Partners, where he focuses on providing professional, effective, and justice-oriented Syariah legal services aimed at protecting the rights and interests of his clients.
Beyond his legal practice, Fathi actively promotes awareness and literacy in Syariah law through social media and regularly participates in educational and community-based programmes as part of his professional social responsibility.
