Remyzen Bin Moksin obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree, LLB. (Honours) from the National University of Malaysia (“UKM”) and was firstly called to the Bar of the High Courts of Sabah and Sarawak in 2016 , in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and  was involved notably in high profile Criminal Litigation cases. He had then moved to Peninsular Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur and was called to the Bar of the High Courts of Malaya and continued to work on and being involved with various and complex Civil Litigation matters.

Throughout his legal experience, he had been exposed and entrusted to personally handled and/or assisted Senior Counsels in a wide and variety of contentious litigation matters including but not limited to criminal and civil matters, commercial and corporate litigation, family laws, probate proceedings, breach of contracts, contentious hire-purchase agreements, strata management disputes, debt recoveries, land disputes, tortious claims, admiralties and maritime  matters, disputes on matters of sales of goods and services rendered and insolvency proceedings from Subordinate to High Courts and Appellate Courts.

Equipped with a sharp mind in legal skills and knowledges which enables him to identify and resolve different legal issues, Remyzen is currently attached with Messrs. Abdul, Low & Partners as part of the litigation team.

He believes that there is no greater call to challenge himself and no greater reward intellectually, than for him to pursue the legal field as his main passion that drives him to cater a wide or specific needs and expectations of diverse clientele in and outside of the Court room.  He is also self-motivated, meticulous and passionately driven that is able to manage multiple and complex legal issues at hand while maintaining a disciplined and strong work ethics. 

Notable Criminal Cases:

  1. involved in Defending a Drug Trafficking Offence case involving a conviction under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 that carries with it a death punishment and contributed to the success of making the said charges to be set aside by the High Court of Kota Kinabalu and subsequently imposed a lighter sentence instead.
  2. Involved in Defending a Murder case under Section 302 of the Penal Code in the Court of Appeal, that carries death punishment and contributed to the success of which the conviction was substituted by the Court of Appeal into Section 304(a) of the Penal Code instead which carries lighter sentence.

Notable Civil Cases:

  1. Acted for several Clients in debt recoveries cases that involves significant amounts of Debt of ranging around RM 1 million until RM 4 million and successfully obtained Judgments from different High Courts in favour of the same Clients represented.
  2. Involved in a Corporate Litigation matter representing a public listed company that supplies foodstuffs in the Northern States of the Peninsular Malaysia that resisted an EGM which was requisitioned by a single biggest shareholder vide a Special Notice with the main agenda to replace all of the existing Directors.
  3. Acted for an International Company that is part of the world’s leading ship classification societies and offshore safety and verification bodies in line with the National and International regulations or standards that has successfully recovered several debts involving hundreds of thousands ringgit from other companies due to classification and verification services rendered, including defending from a counterclaim involving more than US$ 1.3 million.
  4. Acted for a Subcontractor that claimed RM 1.8 million from a Main Contractor in a Construction matter which the High Court of Kuala Lumpur allowed the Subcontractor’s claim in the amount of RM 1.2 million.
  5. Acted for a Client in opposing a Stay Application of Winding Up proceeding under section 470 of the Companies Act 2016 which the High Court of Shah Alam dismissed the Stay application due to finding that the Winding Up Court has no power to stay any winding up proceeding in accordance with the Companies Act 2016.
  6. Acted for a Client in a Family Law appellate matter in both Court of Appeal and Federal Court in Leave Application stage involving a dispute on the territorial jurisdiction of the Courts that shall hear the matter, which resulted in the Court of Appeal having allowed the Client’s Appeal and the same was further affirmed by the Federal Court.
